What is a math teacher's favorite season?!  SUMmer, of course!

Middle and high school students, come indulge in an evening of mathematical (and parent-free!) fun at MoMath's mix-n-mingle program for tweens and teens.  For one night only, this July, Unlimited fans will be doubling over with laughter as MoMath hosts a very special evening of Unlimited: the math comedy club edition!  Revel and groan at some of best and worst mathematical humor known to humanity as MoMath transforms the Museum into a stand-up comedy club designed to evoke every middle school and high school math joke you've ever heard.

Why was Six afraid of Seven?  Because 7, 8, 9!  (Seven ate nine — get it??)

Budding comedians will be invited to submit their favorite math humor (original or not) for the chance to take the stage during Open Mic to tell your math joke to an audience of your peers!

Audience members, bring the entire fan club to cheer on your favorite young comedian — the audience gets to decide on their Fan Favorite math joke of the evening.  Plus, numerous awards will be given in a wide range of categories, including: Most Mathematical, Best Original, Most Groan-Worthy, Shortest Math Joke to Make Us Laugh, Best Stand-Up Math, Best Dad Joke, and Greatest Of All Time!

Hey, have you ever noticed what's odd?  Every other number!

In between laughs, be sure to explore MoMath's dynamic exhibits, vibe with a peer group that is passionate about math, enjoy mathematical activities designed with you in mind, and stop by the Octachoron Café, where decadent hot cocoa and chocolate chip cookies.  Before the evening comes to a close, boogie down on New York City's only interactive, light-up Voronoi dance floor.  As you head home, you might even start adding up the math-related music you know, just in case the future brings a possible Unlimited: the math songs edition... !

Get your ticket today and invite all your friends.  The summer fun at MoMath is unlimited.

_____________

Unlimited is designed exclusively for students in middle and high school.  Refunds or credits cannot be issued for any reason and ineligible registrants cannot be admitted to the event.  This is an in-person event at MoMath on Fifth (225 Fifth Avenue, in Manhattan).  By registering for the event, you agree to the Program Policies detailed below, so please be sure to read the policies thoroughly.

_____________

Unlimited Program Policies

Event timing and fees: Unlimited begins at 6:30 pm and ends at 8:00 pm.  A student may be dropped off at or anytime after 6:30 pm, and the student may be picked up at or anytime before 8:00 pm.  "Drop-off" requires that an adult chaperone signs in to register their child's arrival, and "pick-up" requires that an adult chaperone signs out for their child for dismissal.  Early drop-offs will not be permitted, and pick-ups after 8:00 pm will incur a late fee and may impact future participation in MoMath programming.

Students cannot arrive/leave without an adult: An adult chaperone (a parent, guardian, or other designated provider) must be present to sign in/out each student.  The adult chaperone must provide a mobile number to be contacted in the event of an emergency during the event.  Students cannot sign themselves in for the event nor self-dismiss, and curbside drop-offs and pick-ups cannot be accommodated.  An exception to this policy may be granted, at MoMath's sole discretion, to registered attendees ages 16 and older who can show proof of age with a valid photo ID (MoMath reserves the right to revoke any exceptions previously granted at any time, for the safety and security of the event and its participants.)

This is strictly a students-only event: For the safety and security of the event attendees, only registered students and MoMath event staff will be admitted into the Unlimited event space   there are no exceptions.  A public restroom is available in Madison Square Park, which is conveniently located across the street from the Museum.  During the event, adults may stand in the lobby or leave the Museum to return no later than 8:00 pm to pick up their child(ren).  If you intend to pick up your child before the event ends, it is recommended that you inform a MoMath staff member at drop-off as well as coordinate directly with your child via their mobile so that your child knows to come to the lobby at the designated time.

Photography and media releases: By registering for this event, all participants inherently agree to the terms and conditions of MoMath's photograph permission and release form.

Appropriate behavior: All Unlimited students and adult chaperones are expected to exhibit good behavior and compliance with program policies to ensure a positive experience for everyone.  At its sole discretion, MoMath may remove a student from the event for behavioral reasons or for noncompliance with policies and their parent/guardian will be contacted for immediate pick-up.  If a student is removed from the event, for either a single event or for all future Unlimited events, no refund or credit will be issued.

In the event of an emergency: To urgently the Unlimited event staff during the event regarding an emergency situation that has arisen, you may call (520) 432-0958.  (For all other non-urgent or unrelated matters, please contact MoMath at (212) 542-0566 or functions@momath.org during regular business hours.)
