Snowflake Symmetry: Explore the Winter Wonder of Snowflakes
Most weekends, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
(in person)
Create unique paper snowflakes while uncovering the math behind their designs. Fold, cut, and reveal your design — a moment of transformation where art meets math — as you explore the winter wonder of snowflakes and discover the symmetries that shape their beauty. Participants will experiment with four-, six-, and eight-fold symmetries, creating one-of-a-kind snowflakes to take home or to leave behind as part of a growing gallery of shapes and patterns.
Attending Snowflake Symmetry is free with general admission or as a MoMath member on most weekends, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Parental supervision is required for children.
