The Math of Puppet-Making
featuring Dave Privett and Tim Chartier
Thursday, December 7
6:30 pm to 7:30 pm ET
(in person)
What do Muppets like Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear have to do with math? It’s in their construction! They both start with two-dimensional patterns that need to be turned into three-dimensional shapes. How does this happen? And can we go in reverse, turning a 3D object into a 2D pattern? Learn how this happens and how it connects to calculus, then construct your own dragon puppet skull — no prior knowledge of calculus is needed!
