Roll the dice and make your move at MoMath’s first-ever Backgammon Tournament!  Players of all levels are invited to enjoy an afternoon of strategy, chance, and friendly competition in one of the world’s oldest games!  Compete for prizes, meet fellow backgammon enthusiasts, and experience the mathematical elegance behind every roll.

  • Registration includes free, all-day admission to the Museum (a $30 value), with access to exhibits throughout the day.
  • Play begins promptly at 12:30 pm ET.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring a backgammon board and game clock if available.  A limited number of boards and clocks will be provided.
  • Tournament rules established by the U.S. Backgammon Federation will apply; participants are encouraged to review them in advance.
  • Tournament format, match lengths, and the number of skill divisions will be determined based on registration.  Game clocks will be required for higher skill divisions.

This is an in-person event at MoMath (635 Sixth Avenue).
