This was the second MATRIX conference organized by MoMath.  The first was held in Dresden, Germany, in collaboration with the Technical University there.  The second was held earlier this month at the University of Leeds, in collaboration with MathsWorld UK.  The conference, designed to allow those who run math museums and those who perform math outreach to come together to share ideas and best practices, attracted more than 100 attendees from 17 different countries, including Fields Medalist Cedric Villani, famous mathematician Bela Bollabas, popular British science author Simon Singh, and Youtube phenom Matt Parker.  MoMath had a table in the exhibit hall that included four of the activities from the Oppenheimer-MoMath math lab kit; it attracted a good deal of positive attention.
