LEGO Robotics Summer Program at MoMath

This is a students-only drop-off program; appropriate for ages 6 to 9.

Is your child interested in robotics?  Do they want to build a LEGO robot this summer, surrounded by the creative and fun atmosphere of America’s premier museum dedicated to mathematics?  This summer, members of Stuyvesant High School’s award-winning robotics team will host an eight-week intensive course at MoMath on all things LEGO robotics!  Students will learn to work collaboratively, think logically and mathematically to code in Scratch, design their own LEGO robot, and more!

Registration Fee
The registration fee is $240.  As an added benefit, registration includes complimentary Museum general admission for the enrolled student (who must be accompanied by an adult chaperone with their own paid admission ticket or Museum membership) between the hours of 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on session days.   The Museum requires that all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while exploring the Museum.   An adult chaperone is not required nor permitted during the program session, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm; this is a drop-off program and students must be picked up promptly at 6:00 pm.

Eligibility Requirements
All students must be between the ages of six and nine, on or before July 9, 2024, to participate.

Session Dates
Sessions will meet in person at MoMath (225 Fifth Avenue) on the following Tuesdays: July 9, 16, 23, and 30, and August 6, 13, 20, and 27.

Financial Aid
Limited funding is available for students who demonstrate a strong interest in mathematics and whose families are facing financial hardship.  Please contact scholarships@momath.org for additional information and application instructions.

Program Policies
By registering, all participants agree to the full terms and conditions of MoMath’s Photograph Permission and Release Agreement.

Refund Policy
MoMath reserves the right to cancel the registration of any student who does not meet the age requirement of the class or does not abide by MoMath’s program policies; cancelled registrations will not be eligible for refunds or credits.

There are no refunds, credits for missed classes, or transfers for any reason.
