Julia Angwin is an award-winning investigative journalist and editor-in-chief of Proof News, a nonprofit newsroom that investigates the impacts of technology on society; she is also an author of several books.
Ben Blum-Smith is a Mathematician-in-Residence at the Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics, Blum-Smith is also a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering and a Visiting Academic at the NYU Center for Data Science (CDS).
Glenn Rodriguez is the Deputy Director at the Center for Community Alternatives. An innovative leader and advocate for criminal justice reform, Glenn’s passion for this work derives from his personal experience with the criminal justice system.
Vicki Abeles is a filmmaker, attorney, and change-maker dedicated to using storytelling to drive social impact and foster a healthier, more engaged society. As the Director and Producer of Counted Out, she explores the vital role of math literacy in democracy, economic opportunity, and civic life. She is also the author of The New York Times bestselling book Beyond Measure.
