MathPlay for Trapezoids (4s):
"Comparisons"
Friday, March 19 at 4:00 pm ET (New York)
In math, to compare means to examine the differences between numbers, quantities, or values to decide if it is greater than, smaller than, or equal to another quantity. Pre-K students in this session will practice making comparisons by determining which group has more snowmen and which group has fewer mittens. From trios of teddy bears and donuts, children will select the largest items. Students will also identify those items that are different from those that are the same using collections of insects, vehicles, and sea creatures. And that's not even the half of it!
Materials needed: activity sheets to be provided (to be printed prior to session) and a marker or pencil.
