Continuing in our Math in Art series is an introduction to mathematical symmetry and the seven patterns of friezes. Known for their decorative purposes and often enriched with carvings, these architectural elements have been known and used since antiquity.
Materials needed: pencil, paper, colored pencils or markers (optional), and printouts to be provided.
This is a live-streamed event. Occasional video recordings are made available for a fee at videos.momath.org.
