July 9, 16, 23, and 30, and August 6, 13, 20, and 27 (eight sessions)
Tuesdays, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
This is a students-only drop-off program; appropriate for ages 6 to 9.
(in person)
Is your child (between the ages of 6 and 9) interested in robotics? Do they want to build a LEGO robot this summer, surrounded by the fun and supportive atmostphere of America's premier museum dedicated to mathematics? This summer, members of Stuyvesant High School’s award-winning robotics team will host an eight-week intensive course on all things LEGO robotics. Students will learn to work collaboratively, think logically and mathematically to code in Scratch, creatively design their own LEGO robot, and more!
Sessions will meet in person on the following Tuesdays: July 9, 16, 23, and 30, and August 6, 13, 20, and 27.
The registration fee is $240. As an added benefit, registration includes complimentary Museum general admission for the enrolled student (who must be accompanied by an adult chaperone with their own paid admission ticket or Museum membership) between the hours of 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on session days. The Museum requires that all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while exploring the Museum. An adult chaperone is not required nor permitted during the program session, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm; this is a drop-off program and students must be picked up promptly at 6:00 pm.
All students must be between the ages of six and nine on the first day of the summer program (July 9, 2024) to participate.
By registering, all participants agree to the full terms and conditions of MoMath’s Photograph Permission and Release Agreement.
MoMath reserves the right to cancel the registration of any student who does not meet the age requirement of the class or does not abide by MoMath’s program policies; cancelled registrations will not be eligible for refunds or credits.
There are no refunds, credits for missed classes, or transfers for any reason.
