Come take a bite out of summer learning loss and engage in chocolate-y math! Join Professor Tim Chartier, author of Math Bytes: Google Bombs, Chocolate-Covered Pi, and Other Cool Bits in Computing as he helps us make a mosaic, estimate the value of pi, and even easily perform some calculus. All you need is a handful of M&M's and some tips that get you mathematically ready for MOre MATH in this summer!
Davidson College's Dr. Tim Chartier is a popular presenter at MoMath, featured in the Math Encounters series and as the architect behind March MoMathness, a program on using math to predict outcomes in sports tournaments. Dr. Chartier is also an accomplished mathematical mime, having trained with Marcel Marceau.
