QED: Pitfalls for Parents
Thursday, December 15 at 7:00 pm ET (New York)
(online)
Parents, join Distinguished Visiting Professor Tim Chartier and Jo Boaler for an hour of math learning, designed with you in mind. Starting with the basics, we'll explore — and learn to leap right over — some of the most common stumbling blocks in K–12 math. Anything that you or your child ever found confusing is fair game!
Jo Boaler is a professor in Stanford University's Graduate School of Education. She specializes in studying which methods of mathematical teaching correlate with students developing a "growth mindset" and with upholding equity in the classroom.
This is an online-only event. Occasional video recordings are made available for a fee at videos.momath.org.
