Polyhedra Party with Chaim Goodman-Strauss

Tuesdays, May 31 through August 9 (online)
6:30 pm to 8:00 pm ET (New York)*

Tuesday, August 16 (in person)
6:30 pm to 8:00 pm ET (New York)

Relaxing and meditative, constructing polyhedra is like yoga for your hands.  Each week we’ll make new polyhedra and show off what we’ve made the week before, working through many of the usual suspects, and then beyond into stellations, compounds, space fillers, and more.  PDF templates will be available to download and print onto cardstock or drawing paper.  At the end of the summer, we’ll have a culminating, in-person Polyhedra Party in the Museum to show off our best models, with prizes!  While several sessions of Polyhedra Party have already taken place, new participants are at any time welcome to register for some or all remaining sessions in the course.  Hosted by mathematician and artist Chaim Goodman-Strauss.

*Note there is no session on June 21, and sessions on July 26 and August 2 will start at 5:30 pm instead of 6:30 pm.

Aside from the August 16 Polyhedra Party, which will take place in person at MoMath, these are online-only events.  Occasional video recordings are made available for a fee at videos.momath.org.
