Recording of Meet a Mathematician with Nicholas Katz

This is a recording of a live-streamed event that took place on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Appropriate for all ages.

Did you ever wonder what a mathematician does all day?  Or what made someone decide to become a mathematician?  Or even, what a mathematician does for fun?  You may be surprised by some of the answers!  Join host Alex Kontorovich as we bring diverse and talented guests to the MoMath stage to share their experiences, their stories, and their love of mathematics.

This month, meet Nicholas Katz.  Nicholas is a professor of mathematics at Princeton University and an editor of the Annals of Mathematics, one of the premier journals in the field.  He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences, and the recipient of the Levi L. Conant Prize of the American Mathematical Society, among many other honors.

Hosted by MoMath’s 2020-2021 Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics and Rutgers Math Professor Alex Kontorovich.
