“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”
 — Martin Luther King, Jr.

The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is deeply committed to encouraging young people of all backgrounds to engage with mathematics and to consider careers in STEM fields.  As part of this commitment, MoMath launched a new virtual program aimed at demystifying mathematics for Black youth.  The program consisted of an online panel discussion followed by more intimate breakout room conversations that gave participants the opportunity to interact with leading Black mathematicians and scientists and explored how these accomplished individuals have used math in their careers.  The program was be hosted by former NFL (Baltimore Ravens) professional, current MIT Math PhD candidate, and MoMath Trustee John Urschel.  Special introduction by New York City Council Member and Co-Chair of the Council’s Black, Latino, and Asian Caucus, Adrienne E. Adams.
