The Magic and Joy of Exploding Dots by Kiran Ananthpur Bacche
(with contributions from James Tanton and James Propp)

Join Distinguished Visiting Professor Tim Chartier and special guest James Tanton for an engaging discussion of The Magic and Joy of Exploding Dots by Kiran Ananthpur Bacche (with contributions from James Tanton and James Propp).  In October 2017, over one million students and teachers from 168 countries and territories were transfixed by a universal story that together, they explored.  What kind of a story is this that has the power to engage students all over the world, transcending language, borders, and technology?  Why, it’s a story of the deeply human endeavor of mathematics!

This is an online-only event; all registrants will be participating remotely.  Occasional video recordings are made available for a fee at videos.momath.org.
