MathPlay colorful word

MathPlay for Triangles (3s):
Number Sense: 1 through 6"

Friday, June 11 at 3:15 pm ET (New York)

Which number represents the number of beach umbrellas or sand buckets?  How many scoops of ice cream did it take to make each ice cream cone?  Students will answer these questions and more as they engage in activities that increase their number sense of the numbers 1 through 6.  While reading the book Counting by Henry Pluckrose, students will learn how counting helps them find out how many items are in a group.

Materials needed: activity sheets to be provided (to be printed and cut prior to session), glue stick, and one marker or pencil.
