MathPlay for Trapezoids (4s):
"More, Less, or the Same?"
Wednesday, February 24 at 4:00 pm ET (New York)
Students will count and compare the number of items in different groups. Which group has more snowmen? Which has fewer mittens? Which two groups have the same number of hats? During a reading of the story Just Enough Carrots by Stuart Murphy, students will discover why the rabbit did not need to buy one more — or one fewer — bunch of carrots at the store.
Materials needed: activity sheets to be provided (to print prior to session) and one marker or pencil.
