The relationship between mathematics and art has a long and rich history.  Artists past and present have used mathematics in significant ways to carry out their artistic vision, and mathematicians have used formulas, algorithms, and computers to produce art.  Join Judy Holdener, Professor of Mathematics at Kenyon College, as she reveals the meaning of the mathematical patterns (and some surprising mathematical connections) reflected in her award-winning artwork “Immersion.”

Special introduction by Mark Rosenthal, CEO of Katz Media Group.
