Family Fridays:
"Making a Dollar Bill Rosette"

Friday, October 15 at 6:30 pm ET (New York)

(in-person)

You've never seen a dollar look like this before!  Join Dr. Jeanine Meyer to learn an intriguing method for turning an ordinary dollar bill into a lovely rosette.  By folding with our fingers, we'll perform an iterative technique and wind up learning a little bit about numerical analysis and prime numbers in the process.

The origami Dollar Bill Rosette was designed by Martin Kruskal.

This is an in-person event at the National Museum of Mathematics at 11 East 26th Street in NYC.  Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the event to complete registration.

Note that masks are required to be worn at all times inside the Museum, and all visitors must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to be admitted to the Museum (photocopies of vaccination cards will not be accepted).
