"Money: Let's Go Shoppping"
Tuesday, May 4 at 4:00 pm ET (New York)
Students will learn the value of each coin — penny, nickel, dime, and quarter — and the meaning of the greater-than, less-than, and equal signs. Students will compare the values of groups of coins. Students will solve word problems which will require them to determine which coins to use to total different amounts. They will have fun shopping at a pretend store and determine which combination of coins to use to purchase a variety of items.
Materials needed: activity sheets to be provided (to print prior to session) and one marker or pencil.
