Family Fridays at MoMath presented by Two Sigma
"Are We There Yet?"

Friday, December 11 at 6:30 pm ET (New York)

Knowing what's coming next — and when — can be quite useful when it comes to your daily commute, the weather, or the stock market.  But in a world full of random events, trying to anticipate the future is a "dicey" game.  Gather your dice and coins and take a walk into the unknown with Rosenthal Prize awardee Ralph Pantozzi.  What can you know about the likelihood of future events?  Step right up and push your luck as far as it will go in a variety of simple games of chance.

To fully participate, please have the following materials handy (per participant):

  • One die (6-sided)
  • One coin (any kind)
  • M&M's, Cheerios, blueberries, or other small food items
  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Crayons/markers (optional)

This is a live-streamed event.  Occasional video recordings are made available for a fee at videos.momath.org.
