Throughout 2026, MoMath will highlight mathematics as a living, creative practice through a series of monthly experiences designed to invite participation and conversation.

Monthly Mindbenders
Challenge your mind with monthly puzzles created by Peter Winkler and shared on YouTube by Grant Sanderson (3Blue1Brown).  Each month, Peter will also host a short Zoom session to explore the solutions together.  Groups are invited to puzzle together and send a photo; one lucky group each month will be highlighted online and receive a special gift from MoMath.  Get together with friends to discuss, debate, and solve — then send a fun photo of your puzzle party.  MoMath will post photos online and one lucky group each month will be selected to receive a special gift from MoMath.

The Best of Volumes Book Club
Dive into a curated selection of math-themed books each month, chosen to spark interesting discussion and shared exploration.  Start a Year of Math book club today; send in photos to share with the MoMath audience and select groups will receive a special MoMath gift pack for your book club to enjoy.

Mathscapes
Try your hand at monthly, real-world-inspired math problems created by Po-Shen Loh, a Carnegie Mellon professor and former national coach of the U.S. International Mathematical Olympiad team.  Each month’s themed challenge shows how mathematicians notice patterns, make smart simplifications, and turn everyday situations into solvable questions.  Groups are invited to problem-solve together and send a photo of the group; one lucky group each month will be highlighted online and receive a special gift pack from MoMath.

Focus!
MoMath’s spectacular new home at 635 Sixth Avenue opens this winter with more than two dozen original new exhibits.  Each month, one new exhibit will be highlighted as we share its story, from conception to design to fabrication.  Hear the back stories from the creators and builders of the exhibits, and discover the fascinating mathematics behind the magic.

Epsilon Adventures
Enjoy a monthly math-inspired activity or book recommendation, especially designed with the littlest math fans in mind.  It’s never too early to fall in love with math!
