Join MoMath’s 2023-2024 Distinguished Visiting Professor Ingrid Daubechies as she welcomes Paul Bendich to the MoMath stage for an engaging conversation about math and math education.

Paul Bendich is a mathematician whose main research focus lies in adapting theoretical mathematics into tools that can be broadly used in many data-centered applications, such as neuroscience and database merging.  Since 2015, he has been the main coordinator of the Data+ Program at Duke University, a ten-week summer research experience for undergraduate and master’s degree students interested in exploring new data-driven approaches to interdisciplinary challenges.

Join MoMath’s 2023-2024 Distinguished Visiting Professor Ingrid Daubechies as she welcomes Robin Wilson to the MoMath stage for an engaging conversation about math and math education.

Robin Wilson is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics in the Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering at Loyola Marymount University.  His math research focuses on topology — the study of shapes that can be stretched and moved while points on the shape remain close to each other.  He also has an interest in mathematics education, where his interests have been focused on equitable teaching practices in classrooms serving students of all levels, from kindergarten through college.
