Tap into your creative mathematical side by learning to fold a unique origami model each week!  Every session will be different, and each can stand alone.  Explore the wonders of paper folding — there’s math in every fold!

This course is appropriate for adults and children ages seven and up; familiarity with folding origami is required in order to keep up with the pace of the class.

Materials required: Several sheets of square paper (between 5.5” and 8.5” in side length).  Origami paper is preferred, or you can cut your own squares from any paper.  You may need a few sheets of copy paper, too.

About Folding Fridays

Prerequisites

Folding Fridays is fast-paced and designed for advanced beginners, proficient artists, and expert enthusiasts.  Participants should have basic knowledge of origami terminology and prior experience with folding.  For those interested in joining this series, but are starting out as novices or beginners, we recommend following along at your own pace to a few recorded sessions of Folding Fridays, which are available for purchase (or free to MoMath members) via MoMath’s Recordings Library.  With some practice, you’ll be ready to join a live session in no time!
