Join Hungarian artist Ildikó Fekete for a 90-minute, hands-on workshop on Eastern European egg decoration, presented in partnership with the Tulipán Foundation. This 1,500-year-old tradition uses mathematical symmetry to create intricate, meaningful patterns.
Using the traditional wax-resist technique (tojásírás), participants will apply designs in wax, reveal them through layered dyes, and create their own decorated egg to take home.
Workshops are FREE with museum admission, and all materials are provided.
Suitable for ages 3 and up (young children may need assistance). Each session offers the same content. Special thanks to the Tulipán Foundation for making these workshops possible.
