Tim Chartier, MoMath's 2022-2023 Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics and the Joseph R. Morton Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Davidson College, is internationally known for his mime show that introduces mathematical ideas, but before he did mime, he was a puppeteer performing and teaching at national and international puppet conferences!  He uses a wide range of puppets that delight audiences of all ages.

Following the puppet show will be a question-and-answer session about the math of doing puppetry.  Learn about the many ways that puppeteers use mathematics to captivate an audience!

Please note that children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Each child and adult must be registered.
