Can You KenKen? -- A Family Friday event at MoMath
A daily dose of puzzles is a quick and fun way to keep your wits sharp, so the Museum of Mathematics is pleased to announce a puzzling Family Friday workshop for parents and kids on Friday, March 15, at 7 pm. Join John Chaneski, on-air puzzle guru for NPR's newest game show “Ask Me Another,” as he presents “Can You KenKen?,” a family-friendly exploration of number puzzles, brought to you in collaboration with Nextoy, publisher of KenKen books and other products.
Chaneski will begin with a gentle introduction to KenKen, the puzzle that Will Shortz called “the most addictive puzzle since Sudoku.” All that's needed is simple mathematics and a pencil... and we'll provide the pencil! In no time at all, you'll be ready for head-to-head KenKen challenges.
No KenKen experience is required, and every participant will come away with useful problem-solving skills and a boost of self-confidence. Admission is limited, so register soon for this not-to-be missed special event, appropriate for kids and adults aged 8 and up.
Special pre-program dining menu at SD26 now available for Family Friday participants!
Details will be sent to program registrants shortly.
