What is it?
Dimensions: the MoMath Puzzle Hunt asks teams of two or more to solve a series of math-inspired puzzles that will take each team on a walking tour of the museum. Throughout your adventure, you will find creative ways to apply mathematical knowledge and explore hidden dimensions of the Museum of Mathematics that you might have otherwise overlooked.
Who is the intended audience?
This puzzle hunt is geared toward a general audience of adults and high school students. For the launch event, we will generously provide hints as needed, especially to those unfamiliar with puzzles and puzzle hunts. We want everyone to have a good time!
How long will it take?
We expect novice teams to finish the puzzle hunt in under four hours, assuming they are focused on the hunt. Expert teams may finish in significantly less time, possibly two hours or less. As December approaches, we will have better estimates for average solving times.
This is a team event?
Yes. Puzzle solving is a lot more fun in teams! Whether you have a team of two, four, or six, we encourage you to team up. If you are coming solo, never fear; we will be happy to connect you with a team.
Does it cost anything?
It does. $30 a person, to cover the cost of the puzzles and a few other expenses. It also includes a small contribution to the Museum of Mathematics to sustain the high quality gallery of exhibits and programs that make MoMath a great place to be!
