Math Discovery:
"Secrets of Telling Secrets"

(in person)

Explore cryptography, secret codes, and ciphers.  Join us for this introduction to the substitution cipher, which hides messages by replacing letters or groups of letters with other letters or groups of letters.  Using patterns and perseverance, learn how to create hidden messages — and how to break secret codes!   For students in grades 3 through 6 and their families/caregivers.

Limited space available.

Masks must be worn at all times inside the Museum and all visitors ages five and up must show acceptable proof of full vaccination (two doses) against COVID-19.  (MoMath does not accept digital images or photocopies of vaccination cards.)

The event fee covers this 45-minute session.  To enter and visit the Museum before or after this session, purchase general admission tickets at visit.momath.org.  All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all participants (children and adults) must register.
