Mirror Mirror on the Wall: the story of reflection groups and fractal sphere-packings

Tuesday, August 31 at 8:00 pm ET (New York)

In person!

Join Alex Kontorovich, MoMath’s Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics, in his final talk of the season.  Discover how geometry and arithmetic can interact in unexpected ways to form fractal sphere-packings from reflections in curved mirrors.

This event will take place in person at MoMath at 11 East 26th Street.

All in-person seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note that masks are required to be worn at all times inside the Museum, and all visitors must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to be admitted to the Museum.  To learn more, go to visit.momath.org.

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the event to complete registration.
