Join for a lively panel discussion of math education in the U.S.  Featured panelists include:

Sol Friedberg, the McIntyre Endowed Professor of Mathematics at Boston College, current Chair of the National Academy of Science's U.S. National Commission on Mathematics Instruction, and recipient of the 2021 American Mathematical Society Award for Impact on the Teaching and Learning of Mathematics.

Patrick Honner, high school mathematics teacher in the New York City Public School District, recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, and a frequent writer, speaker, and presenter on mathematics and teaching whose writings have appeared in the New York Times, Wired, and Quanta Magazine.

Lorraine Howard, President of Women and Mathematics Education (WME), past Wall Street Investment Advisor, Division Controller at Columbia University, Associate Professor of Finance and Mathematics at Temple University, Drexel University, and the University of Tennessee (Knoxville), frequent national and international trainer, speaker, and presenter on the intersection of finance and mathematics, and recipient of the Federal Reserve Board's Innovative Teaching Award.

Edna Jones, pure math PhD student at Rutgers University, Facilitator at the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival, and Volunteer at Highland Park Middle School in Highland Park, New Jersey.

John Staley, middle and high school mathematics teacher in the Baltimore County Public Schools, recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, past President of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics, and past Chair of the U.S. National Commission on Mathematics Instruction.

Moderated by MoMath's 2020-2021 Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics and Rutgers math professor Alex Kontorovich.
