Join Distinguished Visiting Professor Tim Chartier for an engaging discussion of Creating Symmetry with author Frank Farris.
This lavishly illustrated book provides a hands-on, step-by-step introduction to the intriguing mathematics of symmetry. Frank Farris’ new waveform approach enables you to create an endless variety of rosettes, friezes, and wallpaper patterns. Frank is a two-term former editor of Mathematics Magazine and has received numerous awards, including a Trevor Evans Award for his article "The Edge of the Universe" in Math Horizons and the David E. Logothetti Teaching Award at Santa Clara University, where he has taught since 1984.
