MathPlay for Pentagons (5s):
"2-Digit Addition"
Tuesday, June 29 at 4:00 pm ET (New York)
Students will be solving 2-digit addition problems. They will add the numbers in the ones place first and then add the numbers in the tens place. They will also be introduced to the concept of regrouping, which is when you trade 10 in the ones place value position for 1 in the tens place value position.
Materials needed: activity sheets to be provided (to be printed prior to session) and one marker or pencil.
