MathPlay for Triangles (3s):
"More, Less, or the Same?"

Students will count and compare the number of items in different groups. Which group has more sail boats? Which group has fewer fish? Which two groups have the same number of ice cream cones? During a reading of the story Just Enough Carrots by Stuart Murphy, students will discover why the rabbit did not need to buy one more — or one fewer — bunch of carrots at the store.
Materials needed: activity sheets to be provided (to be printed prior to session) and one marker or pencil.
