3D Drawing: Introduction

by Farit Rassam

Have you ever wondered how street artists make those amazing drawings that look three-dimensional from the right perspective?  It turns out, the answer is math!  Author and artist Farit Rassam has made his self-published guide free on Kindle and shared it with MoMath.  Even if you don't draw, you'll enjoy the mathematical story of how these drawings come to be.

This event will take place in person at MoMath at 11 East 26th Street.

All in-person seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Proof of full vaccination (i.e., two weeks after final vaccine shot) is required.  Masks are required.  Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the event to complete registration and verify vaccination status.  The preferred form of proof is the Excelsior Pass and a photo ID; we will also accept a vaccination card showing name and date along with your photo ID.
